I have seen the beginning, the end What happened through the ages I can tell you stories The fall off time, the zero point Becomes infinity Let me show you how Running through the times to the other side CHORUS Death’s the sentence Break the line and run in circles Recalling lifetime We wanted to unveal The existence But now the light is bright Rewrite this lifetime SOLO (Salvadori) CHORUS
3.
This is the end of a broken world ‘cause we failed our last chance Heads up to the sky above: Salvation comes from the stars As we die, like useless beings We forgot to pay the price Every step, every moment We’’re slipping in a black hole CHORUS Aflame lights in the sky Signs of life in these deadly nights Follow me ‘til the day we rise Signs of life in these deadly nights This is our fate, sacrifice your flesh And look at your real soul This is our future, a better place to be Far from the destruction we’ve created ‘Cause we create our own extinction We create our own destruction CHORUS Follow the skies, the answer is over you CHORUS SOLO: Salvadori\Laratta
4.
Save me from the void You said Save me from the void Every line begins to overlap The course of time is destroyed The nature of things must come to an end I am the ascension Now feel this wind of change It’s running under your new skin Come to see the world from this level You are the ascension Take my hand Combine the ground with the sky We are one mind We are a million souls CHORUS Awake, awake! And everything becomes different Swallow the obsolete Dominate! The skies, our reign We fly over our old ruins Trust in me We create new life from consumption Enlight, we rise We are the kings of this new day Enlight, we rise We will reign today and forever SOLO: Salvadori CHORUS SOLO: Salvadori\Laratta

Before it’s too late Before I lose my sanity Before it’s too dark I feel I’ve lost to the gravity Before the abyss Before I stare too long Before it’s too dark I feel I’ve lost to the gravity It’s pulling me down Deep, deep, where I can’t see the light This road to nowhere will end Where the oceans rise and the skies die Every night’s a way to the world of the dead Every day’s too far to reach Every second I spend in this hollow depth I’m becoming a part of this black BRIDGE Over a million souls singing lullabies Of the place of no return Swimming in this lake, time will slip away Forever, forever CHORUS I wander – I’ve lost my way I wander – Down at the roots of the world SOLO: Core\Salvadori\Laratta\Salvadori\Laratta BRIDGE CHORUS
7.
Drowning in a shallow sea Six feet deep, to reach what we can’t see Sinking in a shallow sea Everything becomes what we can’t see Master of the deceivers, Are you lighting my way or just confusing me again? Where is the last salvation? The only reason of change? CHORUS We are the ones We are the ones who can save us This is the only thing we want A generation with their eyes to the sky It’s better they think that we’re not wondering A generation with their eyes to the sky It’s better they know that we are not alone I’m not the deceiver I’m the connection to what we lost Singing songs of liberation From the chains of time SOLO: Laratta CHORUS SOLO: Salvadori
8.
Speaking language from the ancient world We read the stars from their lights Another part of the human being Beyond creation, beyond history Overcoming the limit line Reaching a new moment in time Look away, look away to the skyline Don’t let you die, the future is so bright Shine! Your shape is changing! (x2) Put your mind outside yourself Connecting what we leave behind (x2) CHORUS Watch us rise From the sea of fire to the brightest star Burning down our lives to redefine them From the depth of creation, to the cradle of life CHORUS Let us fly to the wide horizons Be the brightest star (Let us fly to the wide horizons) Burning down our lives to redefine them

about

Italian metal band Straight to Pain's new CYCLE, four years since their last release. After a drastic change in their formation, the band spent more than a year composing, combining the diverse tastes and influences of its five members into a more modern style, which adds djent, melodic death metal, black metal, progressive metal and power metal influences to their metalcore roots.

Looking up to the skies and wondering back to the shaping of life, awakening to the possibility of reaching a superior condition going beyond our origin and towards a brighter star: a journey in the cycles of our existence.
